Uncle Dude, Aunt Jessi and Scott

My brother Albert (Dude), my sister-in-law Jessi and their little guy Scott sent us 3 fabric squares.

We are excited to see them 3 times this year! They are going to come to Florida in August and December and we are trying to get to Arizona in May.

Scott is now almost a year old and boy is he a cutie. We get to skype with them every now and then and it is fun to see that little man in action!

I spent a few days last week putting the scrapbook pages together in a book. It is SO CUTE!

Christopher, Tomoko and Miriam Lawton

My friend Tomoko from church embroidered a square using Japanese characters. It says Eternal Family.

Michael and I are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We believe that the power to act in God's name (the Priesthood) and to bind things on earth and in heaven was lost from the earth not long after Christ's resurrection. We also believe that Jesus Christ restored his church and with it the Priesthood through the Prophet Joseph Smith. This is especially important because through the power of the Priesthood we can be married to each other in the temple for time and all eternity. And any children born to us through that union will be sealed to our family for time and all eternity. Michael and I were married for time and all eternity in the Orlando temple on December 21, 2001.

After our adoption is finalized we can return again to the temple to have the baby sealed to us since they were not born to us. I can not wait for that day! It will be beautiful, we will be in a beautiful room with stained glass windows, all wearing white and make covenants to love and care for each other for time and all eternity.

I am so grateful for this blessing!

Aunt Sandi and Uncle Rob

Michael's Aunt Sandi and Uncle Rob sent this square.

It comes from a quilt that Michael's paternal Grandma's mom or aunt made. We think the quilt is anywhere from 35-50 years old. Most of the quilt was hand sewn but, we think this square was pieced together on an old singer peddle sewing machine. Grandma's name is Mercedes Pearl Duncan. If we have a girl we would like to use Pearl for her middle name. Grandma Duncan passed away about a year after we were married. She was a sweetheart!

Sandi and Rob found a cool poem. I really like this, I might try to use it somehow in the baby's room.

We are approved!

We got our copy of the home study and letter from LDS Family Services yesterday notifying us that we are approved and our profile on the new LDS adoption website is active!

It is so great to see the blessings that come from hard work.

Another week or so and we will also be live on ParentProfiles.com. We just have to finish up a little paperwork with them.

Jimmy, Heather, Tyler and Jason Bruck

Michael and I met Jimmy and Heather soon after we were married. They were newlyweds as well. We've had some good times over the years; birthday parties, parties, Adventure Island in Tampa and Jekyll Island in Georgia. They live in Utah now. I keep hoping they'll end up back here sometime. :)

Rita Chatterley, Vivien Couch and Arianne Wortham

My Aunt Rita and her two daughters, Vivien and Arianne sent fabric squares.

Rita lives in Maitland with my uncle Tim and is lucky to travel to see her kids often. This one is from Rita
